Aces & Eights Entertainment
About Me

Thank you for your interest in Aces & Eights Entertainment. I believe in adding a personal touch to all my events and getting to know all my client. So let me start by telling you a little about myself. I grew up in the Midwest, graduating from Mason City High School. In college I received my degree in Computer Technology and have also studied, Athletic Training, Outdoor Education and Business Management.

Over the years I have had a wide range of professional and personal experiences that have helped guide my future. Working for the YMCA in various programs helped me find my leadership skills and great ability to work with children. I also have a love of the outdoors and enjoy horseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. I am fortunate to have all my immediate family living in Southern Minnesota so I can keep a close relationship with them and watch my 5 nieces and nephews grow up.

Growing up in the Midwest I have always had a love for music and entertainment. I started singing about 10 years ago and In 2005 I decided to turn my passion into a business and formed Aces & Eights Entertainment LLC. Having a diverse background allows me to relate to my customers in a unique way giving them a personal and memorable experience. I use that passion to strive for perfection and providing a memorable experience for all my clients. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and provide an exciting new aspect to your event.

Sincerely,

Eric Weiss

Where does the name Aces & Eights come from?

Many poker fans may know that Aces & Eights is commonly referred to as the Dead Man's Hand. It is the poker hand Wild Bill Hickock was holding when he was shot in the back playing poker in Deadwood SD. His final hand was a pair of Aces and a pair of Eights, no one knows what the 5th card was.

Having an interest in the Old West and being a poker player myself I came up with the name Aces & Eights Entertainment and stuck with it over the years. In 2008 I formed Aces & Eights Entertainment LLC and have continued to improve my business interests.
